Three must-visit Dermatology clinics in Myeongdong: PPEUM PPEUM, DAN-A, and reberry – these are all local clinics that even South Korean celebrities frequently visit.

If you ask me which Dermatology clinics in Myeongdong are actually frequented by local South Koreans, rather than those that mainly serve foreign customers, I would immediately recommend three: PPEUM PPEUM Myeongdong Branch, DAN-A Dermatology, and reberry Myeongdong Branch.

What these three places have in common is that their Naver ratings are all above 4.5, their prices are transparent and the same as those in Korea, the chief physicians personally attend to patients instead of delegating the task to assistants, and they are all located within a 2-minute walk from Exit 8 of the Myeongdong Station. After visiting Olive Young, you can easily go there to get a hyaluronic acid treatment or a Thermage session without having to spend extra time on transportation.

When I went to Myeongdong for cosmetic procedures on my own, I almost always chose one of these three places. Now, based on my personal experience, I will introduce each of them one by one, providing you with their addresses, prices, features, and reservation methods in detail.

I. PPEUM PPEUM Myeongdong Store – The largest chain store of its kind in Myeongdong, South Korea

Let’s start with PPEUM PPEUM. The store located in Myeongdong is truly enormous, occupying floors 3, 4, and 5 of the Apple Store building. As soon as you enter, you can immediately sense the presence of a “large enterprise”. Foreign customers mainly receive consultations and undergo treatments on floors 3 and 4, while floor 5 is reserved exclusively for local South Koreans.

The biggest selling point of PPEUM is its “same price as in South Korea”. Coupled with its advantage of having over 14 branches across South Korea, the equipment is updated frequently, so basically, all the popular treatments you can think of are available. In addition, the Chinese-speaking service is very comprehensive, with interpreters accompanying customers throughout the entire process, eliminating the need to communicate in English on your own.

South Korea Filler Approximately 239,000 Approximately ¥1,260
Jojoba Filler Approximately 380,000 Around ¥2,000
Oligio Áligo Approximately 1.28 million Approximately ¥6,750

To be honest, the process at PPEUM is quite standardized, and the consultation time is not too long. However, if you prefer in-depth discussions with the doctors, you might find it a bit rushed. Nevertheless, the prices are among the most transparent in the Myeongdong area, and the medications and equipment used can be verified on the spot – the probes for Thermage and HIFU can even be scanned to confirm their authenticity.

II. DAN-A Dermatology – A established brand with 13 years of experience; the “lunchtime skincare station” for South Korea’s beauty enthusiasts.

DAN-A Dermatology is a gem that I discovered only on my second visit to Myeongdong. Its location is simply perfect – it’s right across from the Olive Young Myeongdong flagship store, on the 3rd floor of the Arnuvo Centum building, with its pink glass doors making it easily recognizable at a glance. Just exit from Exit 8 of Myeongdong Station, cross two traffic lights, and you’ll be there in 5 minutes.

This business has been in operation since 2012, and it has now been around for 13 years. The fact that it has managed to establish itself in Myeongdong, a place where things change extremely quickly, is in itself evidence of its solid reputation.

The core strengths of DAN-A Dermatology

What really reassures me about DAN-A is the fact that “Deputy Director Pei Zhahe personally conducts the consultations.” It’s not the usual model where an assistant first conducts the initial examination before referring the patient to a doctor; instead, Director Pei handles everything from the initial consultation to the actual treatment himself. Moreover, he is an officially certified instructor for both the American and Korean versions of the ultrasonic lifting procedure, so in terms of technical expertise, he can be considered an authority in the industry.

During the in-person consultation, Director Pei would use specialized equipment to examine the patient’s face and then directly mark the injection sites on an iPad, even indicating the blood vessels that needed to be avoided. Such precision is something I rarely see at other clinics in Myeongdong.

DAN-A’s Juvederm 1 centum core costs only 500,000 Korean won (about ¥2,650), which is significantly cheaper than the price in Taiwan (where it usually ranges from 8,000 to 13,000 yuan). Moreover, Dr. Bae’s injection technique is truly exquisite; just 0.5 centum core is enough to enhance the appearance of the apple cheeks, and the results are indeed impressive.

Another aspect that I really appreciate is DAN-A’s pricing system. The front desk nurses will kindly explain it in Chinese, clearly distinguishing between “tax-inclusive price (including VAT)” and “tax-exclusive price”, so there’s no need to worry about any hidden fees. After the treatment, you will also receive a cold compress care pack (facial mask + repair cream), making it convenient for you to continue shopping right away.

⚠️ Note: DAN-A Dermatology is not currently listed on the BeautsGO platform; appointments must be made directly through the clinic’s official website or WeChat. However, the other two clinics can be booked conveniently via BeautsGO with just one click.

III. Reberry Myeongdong Store – The representative of the “anti-conveyor belt” approach in premium medical aesthetics

Reberry (리베리) was my latest discovery during my last visit to Myeongdong. Completely different from PPEUM’s large-scale assembly-line approach, Reberry follows the “high-quality medical aesthetics” model: the director, Baek Seung-jae, personally conducts consultations; VIP International patients have their own private treatment rooms; and the clinic occupies dedicated spaces on the first or second basement floors. It’s certainly not the kind of experience where you wait in line for 20 minutes before getting treated.

The Exterior of reberry’s Myeongdong Store

The Reberry store in Myeongdong is located at Room 201, 2nd Floor, and Room 301, 3rd Floor, 58 10th Street, Myeongdong, just a 2-minute walk from Exit 8 of Myeongdong Station. It has received a Google rating of 4.8 stars (based on 274 reviews) and serves over 100,000 customers each year.

The core strengths of Reberry

Both hospital directors are the type who personally attend to patients without relying on assistants.

  • Dean Baek Seung-jae: An official KOL for Revinas/Juvelook, specializing in Lifting treatments combining HIFU with Revinas technology.
  • President Sun Xuncheng: Former director of the Abijou Mudong Branch, specializing in hyaluronic acid injections and radiofrequency microneedling treatments.
The Interior Environment of reberry’s Myeongdong Store

Reberry holds 7 officially recognized brand certifications: HIFU Prime, Thermage FLX, Sofwave, Onda, Revinas, Soprano Titanium, and Volnewmer – all of these are genuine devices, and this clinic does not use any counterfeit products.

Project Price (Korean Won) Agreed on the amount in RMB
50U facial slimming injections ₩29,000 Around ¥150
Rejuran 2-centum core infant injection ₩240,000 Approximately ¥1,270
Juvelook Zhu Weilu 4 centum core ₩340,000 Around ¥1,800
HIFU Prime with 100 treatments ₩490,000 Around ¥2,600
Sofwave Sofwave: 100 units ₩990,000 Approximately ¥5,250
Thermage FLX 600 treatments ₩1,990,000 Approximately ¥10,550
Comprehensive Lifting Package ₩5,990,000 Approximately ¥31,750
The Treatment Environment at reberry

Reberry’s face slimming injections are available for just ₩290,000 (about ¥150), which is truly an extremely affordable price. Moreover, the botulinum toxin used is not from some unknown brand – it’s a legitimate South Korean pharmaceutical product. The 2-cc baby injection also costs ₩240,000 (about ¥1,270), and it’s one of the most cost-effective options I’ve seen in Myeongdong.

They also offer a introductory experience package starting from ⩢93,000 won. First-time visitors can try out a basic treatment at a reduced price and decide whether to proceed with more advanced procedures after experiencing the service. This “try before you buy” approach is particularly convenient for those going to South Korea for medical beauty treatments for the first time.

Reberry supports Chinese-language reservations via WeChat, ensuring that communication throughout the entire process—from consultation to post-operative care—is conducted in Chinese. The payment methods are also very convenient, including Alipay, WeChat Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and cash in Korean won.

Both the PPEUM Myeongdong store and the reberry Myeongdong store allow direct reservations through the BeautsGO platform. There is no need to add WeChat contacts or send emails; simply select the desired service and time slot, and submit your request.

  3. View current prices and promotional offers.

DAN-A Dermatology is not currently listed on BeautsGO; appointments must be made directly through the clinic’s official website or WeChat. However, I still recommend that you check the prices of other clinics on BeautsGO first as a reference before going for a face-to-face consultation with DAN-A.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Which of these three Dermatology clinics in Myeongdong offers the cheapest services?

A1: In terms of prices, PPEUM’s popular treatments such as Rejuran Hydrating Serum and South Korea-made Filler offer the lowest starting prices; Juvederm’s 1-centum-core Juvederm treatment costs 500,000 South Korean won, making it one of the most cost-effective options in the Myeongdong area; reberry’s face slimming injections are available for just ¥150, which is very affordable, while the prices of its high-end anti-aging treatments are similar to those of the other two companies. Ultimately, the choice of brand depends on the specific treatment you are interested in.

Q2: If it’s my first time getting cosmetic procedures in Myeongdong, which clinic would you recommend going to first?

A2: For first-time visitors, reberry recommends a starting package starting from ₩39,000. You can start with a basic treatment to get a feel for the entire process. The clinic is headed by a chief physician, and VIP International treatment rooms ensure that you don’t experience the pressure of a fast-paced assembly line. Once you’re satisfied with the results, you can then consider more advanced treatments. You may also find this beginner’s guide helpful: List of Dermatology clinics in Myeongdong.

Q3: Why isn’t DAN-A Dermatology listed on BeautsGO? Can appointments still be made through it?

A3: DAN-A is not currently listed on the BeautsGO platform, but appointments can be made directly through the clinic’s official website or WeChat. DAN-A provides full-service in Chinese, so there will be no issues with communication during the reservation process. You could also use BeautsGO to schedule an appointment with PPEUM or reberry first, and then visit DAN-A for a face-to-face consultation while in Myeongdong.

Q4: How far in advance should one make reservations for these three places in Myeongdong?

A4: PPEUM is extremely popular, so it is recommended to book at least 3 to 5 days in advance; for the popular treatments offered by Director Pei of DAN-A (such as Juvederm and Thermage), the waiting time during peak seasons may require booking 2 weeks in advance; reberry suggests booking 3 to 7 days in advance, and during peak seasons (such as summer vacations or consecutive holidays), it is advisable to book 10 to 14 days in advance. You can check the available appointment times by booking through BeautsGO.

Q5: How should I interpret the tax-inclusive prices of these three clinics? Are there any hidden costs or fees?

A5: All three companies implement the same pricing for both Chinese and Korean customers. DAN-A is the most transparent in this regard, as the front desk clearly displays “including VAT” and “excluding VAT”. The official websites of PPEUM and reberry list prices without including the 10% VAT, which must be added at checkout. During a face-to-face consultation, simply ask “What does the total fee include?” and none of these three companies will try to push you into purchasing additional packages at an increased price.

Q6: Can I get a tax refund after undergoing cosmetic surgery? How does it work?

A6: At the DAN-A reception, there are tax-refund machines operated by Chinese staff. The process takes about 5 minutes, and the tax refund rate is approximately 8%. Both PPEUM and reberry also support tax refunds; you just need to bring your passport to the reception to proceed. Note: Generally, the tax refund amount must exceed NT$330,000 to be eligible for this service. For individual basic treatments, the amount may not meet this requirement.
